It’s existence was known for some time, but it appears that the new Suikoden title has reared it’s head. Suikoden Tiekreis has a 4-page spread in this week’s issue of Famitsu. Slated for a release on the DS, the story seems to be about how the 108 warriors are destroyed, and it’s the hero’s task to replace them.
Considering that the title isn’t numbered, it’s quite possible this is NOT the rumored next main entry in the Suikoden series, but a side-story. Scans after the jump.
Before there was Buzz for the Playstation, before there was that other quiz game for the Xbox, and before there was some other quiz game that I can’t remember either, there was the king:
Yes, you can get the game on the web, in small portions, but the best games were the originals. The ones where at a time, multi-player gaming meant crowding around a computer screen and a blood-thirsty dash for that buzzer key on the keyboard.
There was talk for a while that Jellyvision, the company behind You Don’t Know Jack, was going to make a comeback, and today, my friends, is that day.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed has recently been released on the PC, PS3, and X360. A remake of the original Bionic Commando, they’ve taken the same route as the remakes for Megaman and Megaman X on the PSP- make the graphics 3-D, but pretty much leave everything else the same.
It’s Capcom returning to form, in other words, gameplay hard enough to make you throw your controller across the room.
But we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to talk about the BC: Rearmed Japanese trailer. The theme song? Sung by Ichirou “GODDAMN IT’S ANIKI!” Mizuki. If you are not a mecha otaku, or into old school anime, you will have absolutely no idea who he is.
As for those of us who know, let us bask in his awesomeness.
Whoa, a post by me. How surprisingly out of character.
After browsing the net a bit, I managed to stumble across this interesting little thing in the form of a countdown clock on the Square-Enix website. At first glance, someone would say “Oh, whats it counting down for.” But a second glance reveals something oddly familar about that clock.
In fact, isn’t that the same clock used for Chrono Trigger’s logo…?
Who knows how long it’ll count down to, but it looked like Chrono Trigger is getting a remake.
Odd, seeing how I was thinking about it earlier today too…
Ahh crossovers. They hold a special place in our hearts here on UNB. We really do love them, probably because we’re the same type of people who actually read fanfics.
Cross Edge is a new RPG developed by Compile Hearts. The roster for this one includes Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Ar Tornelico, Mana Khemia, and Spectral Souls. (what a coincidence, I own and enjoy all those games) Slated for a September release, this is probably going to be one of those “love it or hate it” games. We here at UNB will probably love it though.
Sit tight folks, we have lots of info trickling in. This particular post will be updated in short bursts, so check in every once in a while.
Super Robot Taisen Z is a new storyline in the SRW series. Terada stated he’s not sure if this will be the start of a brand new series all together, but it seems as if he’s open to the idea. I would assume that if there’s any plot threads left unresolved at the end of the game, then chances of a sequel are high. read the entry »

Ah yes, what can we say about Gackt? Pretty boy appears as an enemy in Final Fantasy: Dirge of Cerebrus, had his own somewhat so-so video game, and a name that sounds like a cat coughing up a hairball. And yet, he’s a big UC Century Gundam otaku.
I guess everyone has some sort of redeeming quality.
Here’s Gackt paying tribute to UC Century Gundam, by singing the opening theme to the first Gundam theme, “Ai Senshi”.
LTTP (def) Acronym for “Late To The Party” We like to take our time here at UNB. A lot of time. (~the Management)
Today we’re going to go over a small, almost cult like following game, and second game, in a two part series that is titled Gungrave: Overdose.
Gungrave: Overdose takes place three years after the crime empire Millennion and it’s body warping drug Seed are destroyed. Beyond the Grave has been resting since this time, but in one night of violence his young female guardian Mika has reawaken Grave to fight against a new outbreak of Seed. He is joined this time by a blind swordsman who uses gunblades and a ghostly rocker who uses an electric guitar.
