Super Robot Taisen Original Generations Saga: Masou Kishin Lord of Elementals
Announced in the last issue of Famitsu, and hinted the week before by the SRW series producer, Super Robot Taisen Original Generations Saga: Masou Kishin Lord of Elementals was announced for the DS. And being that typing that full name outis causing serious hand cramps, from this point forward, the game will be referred to as LoE.
A remake of the original Super Famicom game, Super Robot Taisen Gaiden: Masou Kishin Lord of Elementals (hand cramp!), it was notable back then for the fact that the sprites were full-sized units, not the standard super-deformed look that SRW is mainly associated with. As for how the remake looks now, it’ll still retain the full-sized unit look, although, the graphic style itself does seem to be a let-down (in some cases, it looks like all they did was touch up the orginal sprites). However, LoE was a pretty decent SRW game, and with the fact that they’re somehow incorporating the OG-timeline into this game, instead of the original timeline, it’s pretty much assured that there will be some new things here and there for those that have played the game before.
Slated for a May release, since there’s no licensed series in this game, there’s a high chance it might make it stateside. Trailer after the jump.
