⑨/⑨/⑨
Happy September 9th, everybody! Today’s a special day for all of us here at UberNailBat S, and for many of your across the internet itself.
Several of us are, in fact, old men, who admire the Beatles, and are more than willing to put down money for Rock Band: Beatles, released today (although not so much for the full set that includes the game, the guitars, the mic and the drums, costing more than both Rock Band and Rock Band 2 put together).
A larger selection of us are also big Touhou fans. Some of us have even enjoyed the games OUTSIDE the crazy but lovable fandom. And today is a very special day for all Touhou lovers. It is a once in a life time…no, once in a MILLENNIUM event. Today is 09/09/09. And that makes today “⑨ Day” (pronounced “Nine Ball Day”), a day where we celebrate the very, VERY popular character, Cirno, the surprise breakout character that…well, that pretty much claims top spot in amount of fandom tribute (even more so than Marisa and Reimu, the damn main characters)
In honour of this special day, we now present a few videos in tribute two these two greats.
The Beatles: “All My Loving” live on the Ed Sullivan Show, February 9, 1964
Cirno: “Embodiment of Scarlet Devil,” her first appearance
The Beatles: “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” the definitive psychedelic rock album, released June 1, 1967
Cirno: “Cirno’s Perfect Math Class,” the meme that pretty much snowballed her popularity
The Beatles: “I Am The Walrus,” released November 24, 1967. “Let’s see them figure THIS one out.”
Cirno: “Cirno ⑨ Destiny.” You know Suwako’s song, about frogs and destiny and wanting to snack on Cirno? This is ⑨‘s response.
The Beatles: “Get Back,” the farewell concert on the rooftop of the Apple Building on 3 Saville road, January 30 1969
Cirno: “Icicle Fall -Easy-”. That is easily her most ⑨ attack.
The Beatles: “Rock Band – The Beatles,” released today. The legacy lasts beyond the decades.

Cirno: “Advent Cirno,” a doujinshi that truly highlights how high Cirno’s star has risen.
God bless British and Japanese culture that integrate so perfectly with Western.
